burping her baby

This morning Bryan asked Kaitlin to burp her babydoll...and she did! We think she saw our neighbor's nanny burb baby H in our building and that's where she learned it. Well hopefully that means Kaitin is on her way to becoming a great big sister!

p.s. these videos were taking with my new iPhone so I hope the video quality turns out okay.

brushing our teeth

Kaitlin has been obsessed with brushing her teeth. If she sees Bryan or me brushing she HAS to brush hers too. And she gets pissed when you take away the toothbrush. We will see how long this phase lasts until she fights brushing her teeth.

The photos above I took a few days ago but this morning I got Kaitlin out of bed and brought her into the bathroom while I was getting ready. I gave her a sippy with milk but all she wanted to do was brush her teeth (even though I was just putting my makeup on). I guess the silly girl wanted to get rid of her morning breath.

Snowmageddon 2011

This past week Chicago was hit with approximately 20" of snow, which put us in the top 5 worse Chicago snow storms. It was so bad that Lake Shore Drive (LSD) shut down. Luckily I was able to get home via the 147 bus (which takes LSD) BEFORE that happened. I didn't take the first picture below, but wanted to share since it shows LSD as a parking lot.

Kaitlin getting all bundled up. The swimming goggles were out since we used them a few days prior to cut up a bunch of onions. She loved having them on her!

Kaitlin enjoying the baby seat. In the background you can see the snow drift on our front balcony. The drift ended up being as tall as Kaitlin.

Time to go out and play in the snow!

All the snow from our parking lot got piled up next to our SUV.  The kids in our building had fun sledding down the side of the pile.

go bears

A few weeks ago we got all dressed up to cheer the Bears on. Too bad they didn't end up winning. :-(

31 weeks

Here are photos comparing my two pregnancy's at 31 weeks.

like mother, like daughter

While I was home over Christmas I saw a photo of me when I was little all dressed up with my dad at a wedding. For a split second I could have sworn that it was Kaitlin.

fun inside

Since it's dead winter here in Chicago we have to make up our own fun inside. The other week we had Dylan (3 years old) come over to play.

Dylan went in for te kiss but I was too slow.
