10 months

We are closing in on the year mark. Time has certainly flown by.

I had to start bribing her to sit still with snacks.
Kaitlin starting to freak out ;-)

SLEEP:
No real changes in sleep this month.

FOOD:
Kaitlin prefers to self feed with finger foods over eating purees.

CLOTHING:
She’s wearing size 9 and 12 months clothes. We are finishing the size 2/3 diapers and will move to size 3’s shortly.

MILESTONES:
- Second (bottom) tooth came through
- Takes 3 steps between furniture
- Stands balancing for 10-15 seconds without support
- Started to cry when she doesn’t get what she wants or if you take something away from her
- We think she’s trying to say “cat”
- When we say “no” she shakes her head no

baby cousin

On Thursday, August 19th Kelly & Brian welcomed their newest addition to the Buck family! Kelly had the fastest induction/delivery in history. I think she said she progressed from 5 cm to 10 cm in 45 minutes and pushed for only 10-15 minutes. I swear she could have coughed that baby out.

And in true Kelly fashion (procrastinator) the baby could have easily left the hospital nameless. On the day they were discharged they finally came up with Mason Levi Buck. (Levi was my suggestion.) Mason was 8 lbs and 20 inches long. Here's some photos, most of which I stole from Kelly's facebook page. ;-)

Doesn't she look great for just have given birth!
Proud papa
Yeah we were all looking in different directions. And Kaitlin wasn't sure what to think of Mason.

much needed relief

Grandma/Grandpa Albertson came down last weekend with Jake to provide me with a little relief since Bryan was still out of town. Kaitlin had such a blast playing with big cousin Jake and mommy got to run some errands and clean up a bit.

hawkeye football is around the corner

I bought this dress for Kaitlin last year hoping she can wear it to an Iowa football game this year. I came home to find the nanny had her in it. I have say that Kaitlin looks good rocking the gold and black!

family time

Bryan has been out of town most of the past three weeks. He was able to come home a few weekends ago and we took a family trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. We only snapped a few photos.

babbling v.2

She's got a lot of emotions going on.

almost as good as skype

Bryan is out of town this week and we weren't able to Skype last night or this morning. So I took this quick video this morning instead. I'm just now getting around to posting it since work has been crazy.

9 month doc appt

Today we had Kaitlin's 9 month doctor appointment. She weighs 17 lbs 2 oz (20% percentile) and 28.5" (80% percentile). She got one shot and took it like a champ. We got the okay to pretty much eat any table/finger foods (with a few exceptions).

This morning Bryan left bright and early for Detroit. He doesn't get back until next Wednesday. I'm sure he'll really miss Kaitlin while he's gone. We will be doing a lot of Skyping with him.
