One of Kaitlin's favorite places to sleep...

Kaitlin was sleeping on my chest while I was watching TV. Scuba started out laying on my lap and slowly inched up next to the baby. She has surprised us in how much she likes the baby. Every time she cries, Scuba comes to try to comfort her.

one month old

Wow we can't believe that Kaitlin is already a month old. It seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. She weighed 8 lbs 9 oz at her one month doctor's appointment (25th percentile for her age). She is long and skinny.

A few milestones during her first month:
- smiling
- cooing
- blowing bubbles
- trying to hold her head up (she's pretty strong)
- we are working on holding the pacifier in her mouth
- first diaper blow out

I made onsies for her to wear for each of her month birthdays.

We spent Thanksgiving at Bryan's parent's house.

is this heaven? no it's iowa

We traveled back to Iowa before Thanksgiving to see my family and some friends (November 21 - 25). Kaitlin was amazing and slept the entire car ride (both there and back). She got to meet a lot of my family and friends for the first time.

it's moby time

Kaitlin will sleep for hours in this Moby wrap in the newborn hold. The wrap is just a long piece of fabric and you can use it to carry the baby in a bunch of different holds. It's great because I can get some things done around the house too. Bryan even learned how to put this thing on and will carry her around. Any soon-to-be-mommies, I highly suggest you get one.
