first trip to the park - 4.10.11

We took the girls to the park so Kaitlin could burn off some energy. Our friends Heather and Harper met us there and got to meet Lexi for the first time. This was one of the first nice days of the year (we even went home and put shorts on!).

She was so excited that she got to run around the park. Much
different than hanging inside like she did most of the winter.
 Chilling in the stroller.

first few days home

The first few days we were home, Kaitlin was already being a great big sister. She was kissing Lexi on the head and trying to burp her when we were doing it. I guess having lots of baby dolls was a great thing. 4.9.11

Lexi's first bath. She actually did really well and didn't cry until we washed her hair/head. 4.11.11

I think Kaitlin enjoyed playing in the box more than she liked unwrapping the gifts that were sent. 4.13.11

yes we are still alive...

Things have been a little crazy around here lately. We've all been adjusting to becoming a family of four. Bryan's been traveling and working a lot. The laptop I use to update the blog isn't working. And I could keep coming up with excuses on why I haven't updated the blog. So hold tight and hopefully this week I can catch up. Or at least make an attempt to. Bryan did leave this week (again) to do more traveling.

Here's a few photos in the mean time.

big sister, little sister

These first few photos captures Kaitlin's first time meeting her little sister. Surprisingly she's been doing VERY well with her. We think it helped that she had baby dolls that she played with prior to meeting Lexi. In some of these photos you can see the awesome view we had from windows in the corner room.

 Clapping in excitement.
Kaitlin was pointing to Lexi's nose & toes.

 Our first family photo.

april 3rd - induction day

I'm still working on a detailed birth story. I will update this post when it is complete.

Here's a photo taken right before we left for the hospital for our scheduled induction.

Here are a few photos of Lexi right after she was born.

39.5 weeks

The first photo is a picture of me at 39.5 weeks with #2. The second photo compares my belly to when I was 39.5 weeks with Kaitlin. Throughout this pregnancy everyone kept saying that I was "all belly" and carrying really low. And lots of people were thinking the baby was a boy.

funny face & kicking the ball

I'm catching up on posting a few older videos. These were both taken the last few weeks of March. The first one captures Kaitlin's "excited" face and the second one shows her future as a soccer player.
